Conservation in Wyoming

Ducks Unlimited (DU) conserves habitat at the continental scale to meet the lifecycle needs of North American waterfowl. Wyoming is part of the Central and Pacific Flyways and provides important habitat for breeding and migrating waterfowl.

Thousands of small wetlands sprinkled among the state’s expansive grasslands provide quality habitat for breeding waterfowl. Wyoming’s rivers and associated floodplains are important to waterfowl migrating through the state in the fall and spring. Since 1989, DU has worked with partners to conserve 3,194 acres of waterfowl habitat throughout Wyoming. DU’s conservation priorities in Wyoming are to protect and restore key migration habitat along the North Platte Platte River Initiative and other important river corridors. Your support of DU will help achieve those goals.  Wyoming Conservation Connection
