DU has land for sale
In 2006, DU accepted a donation of 2.3 acres of land in Oakland County. The property includes frontage on Sashabaw Road in close proximity to Independence Oaks County Park and contains a stretch of the Clinton River. Accepting gifts of land (habitat or for development) and other items (e.g. a vehicle) is one of the many ways DU raises funds to further its conservation efforts. DU will accept suitable items and then use the revenue generated from their sale to fund its conservation work, usually restricting the revenue for use in the state the donation occurred.
