Ducks Unlimited Mourns the Loss of Tony Dean MEMPHIS, Tenn., Oct. 20, 2008 – Tony Dean, a Pierre, S.D. native and life long   Tony Dean Pheasant Hunt December 7, 2007 outdoor communicator passed away on Sunday, Oct. 19, 2008 from complications stemming from an appendectomy. Among a long list of achievements including “Tony Dean Outdoors” television show and “Tony Dean’s Dakota Backroads” radio show, Dean was the first producer of “The World of Ducks Unlimited” television show and has been an asset to the conservation community for years. His passion for waterfowl hunting and habitat conservation will be missed within the hunting and conservation communities.
